Your tasks

This position offers the opportunity to actively contribute to the development of global strategies for improving children’s health and to build and design a completely new international research and education structure.

  • Strategic coordination and management of international research, education and clinical programmes across the two professorships and the EKFS network
  • Planning, coordination, and monitoring of cross-institutional activities with academic and non-academic partners
  • Management of communication channels between institutions, disciplines, and countries, ensuring efficient information flow and alignment of activities
  • Coordination, and implementation of training materials and structured capacity-building programmes in collaboration with international experts
  • Planning, organisation, and delivery of international workshops and seminars in online and on-site formats
  • Preparation of annual progress and impact reports, dissemination of results through conferences and other scientific communication formats
  • Contribution to the strategic development, coordination, and drafting of third-party funding proposals to expand and sustain programme activities

Prerequisites

  • A full academic degree at Master’s level or higher in a health-related discipline
  • A strong interest in global child health and international health systems cooperation
  • Demonstrated experience in project coordination and research management
  • Excellent organisational skills and a structured, meticulous approach to work
  • Proven ability to navigate academic hierarchies and university administrative processes, combined with sensitivity to intercultural contexts
  • Strong teamwork skills, resilience, and the ability to assert and represent set positions
  • Full professional proficiency in both German and English, written and spoken Willingness to maintain an appropriate on-site presence at the university in Bonn
  • Previous extended study, research, or professional experience in a low- or middle-income country would be considered a strong asset
