Background Information
- Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (QECH) with 15,000 deliveries annually, 40% Caesarean sections
- Around 5,000 neonatal admissions per year
- In-hospital neonatal mortality rate of around 12%, with 90% of these being early neonatal deaths (ENNDs)
- Only one neonatologist in the entire country
Who We’re Looking For
- Experienced neonatologists and neonatal nurses, preferably with experience in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs)
- Passionate about teaching and sharing knowledge in a clinical setting
- Available for teaching at QECH (lectures, rounds)
- Commitment to 2-week teaching periods in 2025 and 2026
